I owe an explanation for the fiasco Himadri and Manas !
There were 700 acceptances out of some few thousand entries. It is not a fact that pictures one each of successful entrants have been exhibited. These days of Digital Salons, I gather that none of the Clubs are able to exhibit all acceptances for shortage of time. Unfortunately, due my son's stay in Kolkata I couldn't visit PAB and obviously I couldn't convince the Salon Committee to exhibit at least one picture of every Kolkata based entrant. That would have been the correct solution of this highly disappointing affair. The overseas entrants are hardly interested about their work being exhibited. They are concerned about the acceptance sticker and the catalogue which will bear titles, their names, country etc hich they may be using for FIAP accreditation.
This being the first time for PAB conducting International Salon with Digital Projection, the Salon officials had tremendous problems many folds compounded by phenomenal number of entries.
I hope such issues won't occur in the 11th Biennial International Salon.
