Dear Forum,

This is not a photograph that I have been posting all these days... This is a painting done by me some 12 years back.

I just took a snap, but it was high above my head and hence the inclination (Skew)...

Prasenjitdas, commenting on the photography is not worth I feel . The painting is really well done. you have an artistic hand and tools, are you continuing these still? If not, kindly do it. I used to do paintings and sketches during my school and college days but hardly do it now. I know I can neither go back to those days nor start fresh

Yes Adi Da I continue till date in free time on the pencil sketching.
I have stopped (water/oil) painting due to tight schedules.
I think you should start practicing. Better late than never.

That is nice to hear that you still continue to do that art. My free time is occupied with photography and other activities. I tried recently to make few, miserably failed

You are truly gifted. Thank you for sharing that splendid painting.

When I was younger I aspired to be a painter, but it did not happen. I studied art at a university here, and in high school before that. During the time I was studying art at the the university, I made a business decision. I realized that I would be financially better of not pursuing art as my degree, and so I changed my curriculum. As it turned out, soon art showed up in my work anyway. I worked in a large corporate TV studio, firstly as an illustrator, then as a cameraman, then as a producer. My art training played a key roll in all of that, even though my university degree was in a completely different discipline. Later, when I moved into telecom sales, art was still part of it. Presentations, product advertising, etc.

Since that time, and to this day, my mind's ear can still hear my art teachers' words when I think about images and compositions. When I see art I like, I am reminded of those days and those people.

You make me think of them.

Beautiful painting. You need to have a very imaginative mind to pain and the painting shows how gifted you are.
Most good photographers were good painters or had an artistic bend of mind.
